Used Capping Machines
Capping and closing machines apply and secure closures to bottles and containers after filling. The correct used capper depends on closure type, container neck finish, product, required torque or compression, machine speed and whether the capper is standalone or integrated into a monoblock.
Screw Caps, Crown Caps and Corks
Screw cappers handle plastic or aluminium threaded closures and can include ROPP or Stelvin applications. Crown cappers are widely used for beer and other glass-bottle beverages. Natural straight corkers are common in wine, while mushroom corking equipment is used for sparkling wine, champagne and cider. Multi-format cappers may combine more than one closure technology.
Feeding and Orientation
A complete capping system may require a cap elevator, sorter, orientator and chute upstream of the capping heads. These components must match the cap geometry and line speed. Closure handling is often just as important as the capper itself when assessing a used system.

Verify the exact closure formats, number and type of capping heads, torque-control method, cap feeder and orientator, bottle neck finish, included tooling and change parts, height adjustment, safety systems, controls and production history. For corkers, review compression components and bottle-centering parts; for screw cappers, check heads, chucks and torque-control components.
